The π’πœπ‘π¨π¨π₯𝐬 𝐃𝐒𝐯𝐒𝐬𝐒𝐨𝐧 𝐎𝐟𝐟𝐒𝐜𝐞 (π’πƒπŽ) 𝐨𝐟 π‚π¨π­πšπ›πšπ­π¨ earned recognition in the DepEd SOCCSKSARGEN Regional Climate Change Caravan (RCCC) 2025 following the notable participation and achievements of its learners in regional environmental competitions.

Held in line with Region Memorandum ESSD-2025-230, the activity was spearheaded by DepEd Region XII through the Disaster Risk Reduction and Management (DRRM) Section in partnership with the Youth Formation Division. The program brought together selected learners from different school divisions across SOCCSKSARGEN to promote environmental protection, climate change awareness, and sustainable practices among the youth.

Yza Coleen Ace Borja, a Grade 4 learner from Dilangalen Central Elementary School, secured Second Place in the Eco-Art Contest β€œDraw and Tell” – Elementary Category. Competing against eight other participants from various divisions, she demonstrated strong creativity and effective environmental messaging through her artwork. Her achievement was guided by her coach Paul Christian Singco.
SDO Cotabato was also represented by Kenric Gepullano of Dilangalen National High School, who participated in the Eco-Trash Contest.

The Regional Climate Change Caravan 2025 served as a platform to strengthen climate change education and disaster risk reduction awareness among learners. It featured environmental contests, advocacy activities, and educational sessions designed to build youth capacity in promoting ecological responsibility and climate resilience. The program reinforced DepEd Region XII’s commitment to cultivating environmentally conscious learners who actively contribute to sustainability efforts within their schools and communities.
